Meet Emily – Your Specialist Wound, Continence & Stomal Therapy Nurse
Experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant with 10+ Years as a Registered Nurse
Serving Rural Victoria & the Mallee Region
Emily is a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Consultant in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care, with over 10 years of experience. Born and raised in the Mallee region, she understands the challenges of accessing specialist care in rural areas. That’s why she founded Sunflower Nursing—to provide expert wound care, continence and stomal therapy through mobile and telehealth consultations.
Emily built her career in regional Victoria’s public health system, working across Colorectal, Vascular, Breast, ENT, and General Surgery on a High Acuity Surgical Ward. She later became a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Surgical Nursing, providing guidance to staff and students.
Her expertise extends beyond hospital settings—Emily has worked in Hospital In The Home (HITH) and as a Staff Development Nurse, earning a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to help upskill healthcare professionals.
Now residing in Mildura, Victoria, between clients at Sunflower Nursing, Emily is TAFE nursing teacher and a Registered Nurse at the local health service.
